The Obesity Action Coalition is a national nonprofit advocacy and education organization for people affected by obesity. It publishes free patient education, runs an annual convention, and works on insurance coverage and anti-discrimination policy at the state and federal level. It is the closest thing to an independent patient advocacy body in this space, meaning the materials are not produced by a company selling you a treatment.
